Jeffco Graduation Rates Exceed State Averages and Increase Across Student Groups

Jeffco Public Schools on-time graduation rates continue to outpace state averages, according to the most recent data provided to the Colorado Department of Education. Jeffco’s graduation rate for the class of 2022 is 84.9%, which is significantly higher than the state graduation rate of 82.3% for the same period. During the past five years, Jeffco Public Schools has maintained a higher graduation rate than the state average. 

Some highlights for graduation rate increases in Jeffco for the class of 2022: 

  • English learners increase of 6.7 percentage points
  •  Economically disadvantaged increase of 1.9 percentage points
  •  Title I increase of 1.8 percentage points
  •  Students with disabilities increase of 1 percentage points
  • Arvada High School saw a graduation rate increase of 11 percentage points  year-over-year

Jeffco Public Schools dropout rate for the class of 2022 is 1.8%, which is lower than the state average of 2.2%. During the past five years Jeffco’s dropout rate has remained under 2%, ranging from 1.3–1.8%. 

"Jeffco’s significantly higher-than-average graduation rate reflects the dedicated efforts of our students, staff, family and community," said Jeffco Public Schools Superintendent Tracy Dorland. "However, we will not be satisfied until all Jeffco students graduate on time. Our commitment to instructional excellence and extraordinary student experiences lay the foundation of support needed to make this a reality for our students."
