Please join the AGC's Construction Education Foundation & The Denver Metro Construction Sector Partnership in presenting the first High School Construction Hiring Event!

High school students from Denver's local school districts will have the opportunity to speak with Construction Industry Partners about summer job opportunities and careers. The day will be broken down into two student sessions depending on the student's experience.

April 8, 2020

9:30am- 11:30am

All HBI PACT CORE and OSHA-10 Certified Students are invited.

Students attending this session will have completed at least a one year long pre-apprenticeship training within their high school or technical school, granting them permission to work on a construction site as early as fifteen years old. These school districts have dedicated their time and resources in order to educate and prepare students with the tools they need in order to be better equipped for the Construction Industry. The invited students have received classroom, online, and hands-on instruction in Building Trades Safety and First Aid (including an OSHA-10 hour certification), Construction Math, Tools & Construction Materials, and Employability. In addition, all students have been using these skills on several building projects over the course of the school year. The Associated General Contractors and Construction Education Foundation, as well as many partners in workforce development, have provided financial support to these programs.

12:00pm-2pm

Graduating Seniors

Anyone interested in breaking into the construction industry for employment is welcome. All students must possess the willingness to learn and work hard but, aside from that, NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED for job opportunities within the industry.
